The latest incarnation of Ubuntu, Lucid Lynx (10.04) is due to be released this week on Thursday 29th April. I've been using the alpha, beta and now the release candidate versions and it is definitely the best version yet. Combine the new look and feel with some excellent additions to Gnome, it is well worth checking out. Download and install the release candidate now and then perform a simple upgrade on or after the release date to experience it now.

Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Alpha 2 Released
Just a quick post to say that the second alpha of the forthcoming Ubuntu release, Lucid Lynx (10.4) is now available. The final release is scheduled for April 2010.

Karmic Released
The latest Ubuntu incarnation "Karmic" has now been released into the wild. Demand for this new version was so high that Canonical's servers struggled to keep up with demand. This new release brings a new Gnome release as well as excellent support for cloud computing.
