Android is a mobile operating system running on the Linux kernel.[3] It was initially developed by Android Inc., a firm later purchased by Google, and lately by the Open Handset Alliance.[4] It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.

I recently purchased a T-Mobile Pulse (or Huawei U8220) in October last year, and have been playing around with rooting the device, installing custom firmware and generally hacking the phone into submission.

I started a wiki page for the phone over at MoDaCo forums covering all the skills and tricks I picked up along the way. Other MoDaCo users have also contributed to the guide, so I can't take all the credit.
